Great Western Bike Trail

FEATURES: 14 MILES |  An abandoned railway from St. Charles to the DeKalb County Line. Bicycling, hiking, and snowmobiling when there is 4" of snow on trail. Shelters and rest areas along trails.


Peck Road Bike Trail

FEATURES: 3.8 MILES | The North Paved Loop has 1.4 miles of trails while the South Paved Loop has 2.4 miles of trail.


River Bend Bike Trail

FEATURES: 131 ACRES | An Illinois Land & Water Reserve, this large and extremely diverse landscape environment features restored woodlands, wetlands, prairie and savanna areas with a picnic pavilion and walking trails.


Virgil L. Gilman Trail

FEATURES: 9 MILES | From Ohio Street, south of Montgomery, northwest to Bliss Woods on Bliss Road, north of Sugar Grove. The Fox River is crossed on a covered bridge between Rt. 25 and Rt. 31 in Aurora, north of Ashland Avenue. 


Randall Road Bike Trail

FEATURES: 3.7 MILES | Pass through the LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve, and on the south side of Dean Street, you can connect to the Great Western Trail, which stretches 14 miles northwest to Sycamore.


Fox River Bike Trail

FEATURES: 40 MILES | Used for hiking, biking, cross-country skiing and jogging and stretches from Algonquin to Aurora.


Illinois Prairie Path

FEATURES: 62 MILES | Biking, hiking, jogging, equestrian, and nature trails, the Illinois Prairie Path is an amazing natural resource. Access the Geneva Spur from Route 25 in Bennett Park on the east side of the Fox River.

FEATURES: 4.6 MILES | You can walk, jog, bike or cross-country ski on most trails. The preserve features remnant tall grass prairie and wetlands that are home to white-tailed deer, beavers, yellow-headed blackbirds, common snapping turtles and sandhill cranes. Visitors can enjoy watching waterfowl, warblers and beavers and other wildlife at the Brewster Creek bridge.

FEATURES: 3.2 MILES | The Waubonsie Trail links Boulder Hill and the Village of Oswego via a greenway corridor within a residential community. The eastern trailhead is in Jaycee Park, which offers a playground, picnic shelter and open areas for sports practice.
