Disclosure

Consider yourself disclosed, friends…

This policy is made valid from August 1, 2018.

Families on the Fox is a local travel and entertainment website created, written, edited, and managed by me. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please email me at chrissy@familiesonthefox.com.

This site accepts cash advertising, sponsorships, paid insertions, and other compensation. It is important for me, though, to ensure the companies I associate FOTF with are reputable and honest. I’m not a good liar and it would be impossible for me to recommend something I didn’t believe in myself. Regardless of the compensation I receive, I rely on being honest and authentic with my audience. If I feel a tri-city business does not meet my high standards of quality customer-focused care, I retain the right to not advertise said company. That’s right, folks, it’s not all about the money (… but, I mean, a girl has to eat, too, you know).

A sponsored post will clearly be identified as such. This means a tri-city business wants to pay me to write about their business and/or services, which I cannot do unless I actually try it myself. If I try it and think it’s no bueno, I will not accept the payment and you won’t see an article! Simple as that. If you see an article, though, and it says “sponsored”, know that (1) I tried it myself, and (2) I believe it was worthy enough of sharing with my audience. Remember: I suck at lying.

This site abides by word of mouth marketing standards. We believe in honesty of relationship, opinion, and identity. The compensation received may influence the advertising content, topics, or posts. That content, topic, or post will be clearly marked as sponsored content.

The views and opinions expressed on MY site are… well… MINE. Sounds obvious, but it’s important that I make that clear. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider, or party in question.

FOTF does not contain any content which might present a conflict of interest.
