Meet Stanley, River View’s frog mascot as a costumed character! Participate in 10 untimed, family-friendly physical and puzzle challenges placed strategically throughout the Pottawatomie Park. Those who complete at least seven challenges will be awarded a goodie bag with treats, two 18-hole rounds minigolf and two complimentary guest passes to Swanson Pool. Those who play minigolf that night will also get a free frozen treat as part of the Putt-n-Save Family Night special.

FEATURES: A must stop for a summer fun destination is Geneva’s Annual Swedish Days Festival. “The Granddaddy of Illinois Festivals” is scheduled to run Thursday through Sunday, June 24-27 in 2021. Geneva Arts Fair

DATES: July 24 - 25, 2021 from 10a - 5p

FEATURES: For 19 years, the juried Geneva Arts Fair has risen in attendance and notoriety. The fine arts show showcases over 155 fine artisans from around the country in a host of mediums. Historic downtown Geneva serves as a picturesque backdrop for the outdoor fine arts show on Third Street in Geneva. **Due to COVID-19, modifications may be made to this festival.

FEATURES: More than 140 artists will show their work – from drawing, painting and sculpture to ceramics, glass, textiles and jewelry. All art is available for sale. 

INSIDER TIPS: Purchase tasting tickets in advance directly from restaurants and shops.  Our favorite tasting is the Graham's Tent.



Courthouse Parking Lot on 4th Street and James Street

DATES: Thursdays, July and August | 5pm - 7pm

FEATURES: Hosted at the historic Kane County Courthouse, join car collectors as they gather together to show off their rides. The audience comes from near and far to bop to the music of the 50s while they ogle the beauties and vote for their favorite make and model.


Please note: The Chamber will decide by 3 p.m. on the day of the show to cancel the car show in the case of questionable weather conditions. Call the Chamber Office at (630) 232-6060 to check the status.


Back to School Festival

Peck Farm Park | 4038 Kaneville Road, Geneva


FEATURES: Bring the whole family to Peck Farm Park and have one last fun-filled day before school starts! There will be games and activities, nature crafts, a scavenger hunt, and a Birds of Prey presentation. Hawks Hollow Nature Playground and the Butterfly House will be open for your enjoyment.

FEATURES: Classic Car enthusiasts will view a beautiful collection of antique, classic, and modern automobiles. Participants from all over the Country displayed their prized automobiles on Third street, hoping to be awarded one of the coveted "Benz" Trophies.

FEATURES: Join us for an afternoon of old-fashioned fun at our beautiful prairie farmhouse and grounds. Watch as the Durant House docents explain and demonstrate the art of pickling. Examples of the scrumptious undertaking will be presented in both the original 1840s Durant Hearth Room and the Victorian Kitchen added by Godfrey and Christina Peterson in the 1880s. Learn the process of this delicious aspect of history and enjoy an authentic day in the countryside!

ADMISSION: $3.00 for adults and $1.00 for children between the ages of 3 and 12 years.

FEATURES: Bug Fest is back and bigger than ever! Tickets must be purchased this year to enter Bug Fest where you will be greeted with games, activities, inflatables and more! Visit our participating agencies with their bug-themed activities or stop by one of our investigation stations where you can search for bugs in the pond, prairie or woodlands! Concessions are available at Red Oak Nature Center where you can grab everything from a Bug Fest t-shirt and bug related treats or play it safe with a slice of pizza and a drink. Complete all the stations and pick up your Bug Fest prize at the nature center as well before boarding the shuttle back to Schneider Elementary.

FEATURES: In 1934 the Elburn Lions Club began an annual event known as “A Day in the Park”, which later became known as Elburn Days. For 85 years this event happened. 2020 was the first time that we needed to cancel due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Elburn Lions are happy to say we are planning on hosting our 2021 Elburn Days! Details will be posted as they are available, but plans include a carnival, food and drink, entertainment, parade and more!


Strawberry Fest

FEATURES: Attendees of this annual festival experience everything from strawberry-infused creations like prime rib sandwiches slathered in strawberry salsa to classic strawberry pie-eating contests.  For those who like to mix it up, chef-driven barbecue and other decadent local treats offer something for every taste bud.  Strawberry Fest even has a classic carnival, multiple stages of live music, and the Kids Zone featuring enduring family activities at no charge.

FEATURES: Creating an awe-inspiring panorama, United States flags will fly in a solemn formation at Seven Gables Park. This stirring display of 2,000 flags will bring the community together in a patriotic tribute to honor our heroes. Each U.S. flag represents an individual and tells a story. Flags may be sponsored to honor individuals currently serving in our Active-Duty Military, Fallen Servicemen & Women, First Responders, Heroes in Our Lives, all Veterans, and Home Town Heroes.

FEATURES: The Naperville Jaycees' Last Fling is a family-friendly community festival which takes place over Labor Day Weekend near Downtown Naperville and, for many, is a fun way to say farewell to summer! The Last Fling offers a wide variety of attractions for all ages to enjoy including: musicians on multiple stages, Family Fun Land area, a carnival, unique special events, a business expo and a running event.

FEATURES: The 2nd Annual Naperville Food Truck Festival will feature 30+ of the area's best food trucks, live DJ entertainment, face painter, beer garden, bubble artist and a vendor village featuring local businesses. This is a family friendly event with entertainment for kids and everyone can enjoy the historical grounds.

FEATURES: Enjoy the sun and shade as you stroll to see the wares of over 110 artists and artisans. All tents will be socially distanced apart. Channel your own inner artist as you paint one part of a 12' x 8' community mural. (Then watch it come to life throughout the two day event). Let the kids create their visions at the Petite Picasso Tent. Feast on exciting food options.

FEATURES: The Fox River Arts Ramble is a collaborative effort of the Fine Line Creative Arts Center, the St. Charles Arts Council and Water Street Studios. The event was created in 2018 with the mission of promoting arts and culture in the Fox River Valley. Over 50 artists opened their studios to the public that year! The event will be held rain or shine.

FEATURES: Enjoy this wine tasting + shopping event as couples, friends and wine enthusiasts are invited to spend that Thursday evening enjoying Glen Ellyn’s historic downtown and all that it offers. You’ll receive your Wines & Finds tasting glass and a program detailing the participating businesses. Each store will offer two wine selections to taste and light appetizers specifically chosen to pair well with the wines. All wines will be available to purchase and pickup at the end of the evening. Wine experts will be on hand throughout the hosting boutiques to explain each wine and answer any of your questions.

FEATURES: Join us for the 52nd Annual Festival of the Arts in Glen Ellyn. This is a juried fine arts show held in the Chicago western suburb of Glen Ellyn. All booth spaces are along a concrete walkway that winds through century old oak trees surrounding picturesque Lake Ellyn.

Wine and Art walk

The Morton Arboretum, 4100 IL-53, Lisle, IL

DATES: August 21 - 22, 2021 | 10am - 5pm

FEATURES: The Morton Arboretum's sixth annual Wine & Art Walk will take place near our main Visitor's Center and booths will be placed around the paved 0.6 mile trail surrounding Meadow Lake and the adjacent area. A selection of approximately 50 artists will be chosen for this juried event, based on their submission of nature-themed artwork. Multiple wine, beverage, and snack stations are located around Meadow Lake Trail, as well as music each day.

COST: $11 - $16 per ticket

Bartlett 4th of July festival

FEATURES: Carnival, food, beer, bands. Friends. It's on! More info to be released. Fireworks are scheduled for Friday, July 2, and the parade on Saturday, July 3rd! Live music all weekend.
