TriCity Family Services Holiday Adopt-a-Family Program

DETAILS: Our clinical staff offers the Adopt-a-Family program to agency client families who are experiencing a difficult time, and are in financial need of help during the holiday season. Our clients fill out a wish list of gift cards or items including sizes and favorite colors ages and gender of each family member. Gift cards or wrapped gifts can be dropped off at the agency the week of December 5th through December 9th.

DETAILS: Lazarus House helps people in need find the shelter, food and other support services they need to get back on their feet. Join our gift tag program and be matched with a guest to grant their holiday wishes. Write an encouraging Christmas card that can be shared with those that come through our doors in need of help. Volunteer to make a special meal, a few lunches, or a holiday treat to drop off for the guests to enjoy (send an email to Volunteer@lazarushouse.net for more info on any of the above.) Make a monetary contribution to provide a single day and night of shelter for one of our neighbors in crisis. Host a holiday fundraiser with friends and family and donate the proceeds to Lazarus House to provide for the individuals and families we serve. Share your love and care to let others know they are not alone or forgotten.

The Giving Tree with Community santa project

DETAILS: In the spirit of giving, The Graceful Ordinary has partnered up with Community Santa Project, a cooperative of community organizations dedicated to making sure everyone has gifts for the holiday! The restaurant has set up a Giving Tree in their foyer, fully decked out for the season and adorned with gift request tags. TGO invites guests to pick up a gift request tag from the tree, and to return with a present either unwrapped and wrapped, so they can work with CSP to deliver the goods into happy hands of families and veterans in need.

It is our goal to help these families focus on making memories with one another and not worry about the stress brought on by the holidays. DETAILS: The Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry is a not-for-profit 501(C)(3) organization founded by local churches. Its purpose is to serve the needs of our community. Those who have lost a job, are underemployed, disabled, homeless or just have a need, may come to the pantry for food and household supplies. Please see linked list for urgent pantry needs. The Clothes Closet is also currently open to donations of FALL/WINTER clothing. Because we have limited volunteer availability at this time, we are trying to spread out the drop off times of these donations. If you have more than 4-5 bags to donate, please call 630-406-0036 to schedule a day. Volunteering time slots are also available!

Drop off begins November 14 . Drop Off Deadline: December 2, 2022. Here is our PSA: If you cannot fulfill the sponsorship, do not sign up. Please drop off gifts by the deadline. We do not want to chase you down. We do not want to have to tell a parent that their gifts were not received! Please do not make us do that.
