The Batavia Park District partners with Red Oak Nature Center in Batavia to bring you opportunities to participate in nature programming, such as nature-themed story time, cave hikes, special earth-friendly events and more!

DESCRIPTION: A perfect camp for your little naturalist! Discover nature in the woods, fields and along the pond edge. Make simple crafts, play a variety of educational and fun games. Must be age 3 by January 1, 2022 and potty trained. Camp designed for children who have attended preschool. Drop off at Wing St. Entrance at Delnor Woods.

DESCRIPTION: The great outdoors awaits adventure! Enjoy hikes, critter meet & greets and creative crafts that examine ecology in many different ways. Each week offers unique activities. Friday session meets at LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve.

DESCRIPTION: Searching for a unique summer camp experience? This is it! Learn what it’s like to live on a farm. Start your day with chores, crafts, and games. Milk a cow, gather eggs from the chicken coop, and help farmers feed and clean up after the animals. Senior Ranchers will participate in both on-site and off-site activities, including visiting local parks, museums, and Otter Cove Aquatic Park.

AGES:  Ages 5 - 12

DATES: Monday-Friday, June 6 - August 5, 2022 | 8:30am - 3:30pm.

DESCRIPTION: A unique camp for animal lovers! Learn about life on the farm. Start your day with simple and safe chores while meeting farm animals. Farmyard fun includes playing games, nature walks and exploration along with farm-themed activities. Enjoy a snack grown in the kitchen garden, too.

Anderson Humane’s Summer Critter Camps will keep them engaged, learning, and far from bored this summer. Our fun team of animal experts would love to introduce your kids to different animals and the wonders of the world around them.

Happy Hooves Therapeutic Farm, 40W145 Fabyan Parkway, Elburn, IL

DESCRIPTION: Camp includes animal learning segments, with grooming and holding animals, as well as fun crafts, outside fun and games, and riding horses! Fun in the sun as well as a great learning experience, and the chance to hang out with other children in a safe, fun environment (Please email us if you need a Scholarship).

AGES:  Ages. 6- 18

DATES: Monday-Thursday, 9:30am – 12:30pm | June 20 – June 23, June 27 – July 3, July 11 – July 15, and July 18 – July 21

COST: $345 per week. A $50 deposit required to hold registration.

DESCRIPTION: Explore woodland wonders, get your feet wet in local streams, and learn new skills during these five-day nature camps! Naturalists will lead hikes, activities, games and nature-based crafts based on a different nature theme each day. Summer camp is for two different age groups: (1) children ages 4-5 and (2) children entering grades 1st through 6th. Advance registration is required.
