CANTIGNY PARK

Cantigny Park is a 500-acre park in Wheaton that was also the property of former Chicago Tribune publisher, Robert McCormick.

​

Our friends at Cantigny Park have created two different FREE activities for you to enjoy for the next two months when you visit!

​

The first is the 15 Bird Challenge, a bird-watching activity where you identify 15 different species commonly found within the grounds of the park.

​

The second activity is a Scavenger Hunt!  Every Wednesday from 12p to sunset, this hunt will take you through the entire park through clues you have to find in the form of QR Codes!  The first clue is found at the visitor center!

PENROSE BREWING

Penrose Brewing Company is a small, locally owned Brewery and Taproom that specializes in small batch brewing, fresh hoppy flavors and wild / sour fermentations.

Sometimes the best way to entertain your kids is to give them NON-toys. That's why this activity is a win for all.

All you need is 100 plastic cups.  There are ENDLESS ways to create fun with this activity!

 

Challenge your children to create the tallest, widest, or most enclosed structures (or make these three separate activities to make this challenge last even longer).  For older kiddos, challenge them to add an additional material (like a few pieces of cardstock or cardboard) so the structure can bear weight.
