DETAILS:  Remembering a Century of Heroes and Heritage, the Naperville Field of Honor® display will post 2019 United States Flags on Rotary Hill in tribute to the American Legion and the veterans that make up their ranks, as the Legion serves all the men and women who have defended our nation.


Veteran's Day Parade

Starts on the corner of Benton and Broadway, Auora

DATES: November 11 at 10:15a

DETAILS:  The City of Aurora recognizes the dedication of local military servicemen and servicewomen who have served our country at the annual parade. The parade ends at the G.A.R. Memorial Hall, where an Honoring All Who Served ceremony will take place. The ceremony includes a military rifle salute by veteran organizations at 11 a.m., the exact time the armistice was signed that ended World War I.

DETAILS:  The ceremony will feature opening remarks from Chief Ana Lalley, remarks from Mayor David Kaptain, speakers from local veterans organizations as well as several musical selections. Limited seating will be provided; the public is welcome to bring chairs if desired. Parking is available in the Gail Borden Public Library parking lot.

DETAILS:  Cantigny Park has curated several activities and events to honor our country's veterans.  From working with the community to write letters for area veterans to a take and make craft activity to a guided oral history chat with a veteran, there's something for all ages.  They are even offering a FREE Live Zoom Call with two veterans on November 11, 2020 at 7p.
